The project started after the house was newly renovated to follow the latest trend in architecture. Following the that, there were plenty of rooms which were resized to suit the needs of the owners. One of the resized space is the room in front of the main bathroom.

 

Because the room is located on the second floor, next to the living room, a walk-in wardrobe was not considered to be appropriate to fill the void. We suggested 洗面所 (senmenjo) or washing room, which is very common inside Japanese houses, to be implemented in the specified space. Using a two-tone color style, we made the room a little bit classical but playful using the combination of wood veneer and wood colored paint.  ​
